Dr. Mithushaa Uthayakumaran
Chiropractor
Dr. Mithushaa graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and holds an Honours Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree from the University of Western Ontario, where she majored in physiology and pharmacology. During her studies, she conducted research on topics such as VO₂ max and the effects of genotype on metabolism. She is also certified in Neurofunctional Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Technique.
Dr. Mithushaa takes an evidence-based approach to chiropractic care, integrating patient education, rehabilitative exercise, and manual therapy techniques such as acupuncture, cupping, adjustments, mobilizations, myofascial release, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching (PNF). Her focus is on addressing the root cause of symptoms to provide not only relief but also long-term success. She emphasizes the why—helping patients reconnect with what drives them, whether it’s playing with their grandkids pain-free, training for a 10K race, or simply feeling stronger and healthier in their daily lives.
An active lifestyle has always been a key part of Dr. Mithushaa’s journey. She grew up playing basketball, flag football, and bouldering, as well as coaching swimming. Her love for movement, combined with her passion for science and helping others, led her to a career in chiropractic care where she helps people reach their health goals.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Mithushaa enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to explore nature and different cuisines, and, when possible, catching waves while surfing. She loves playing tennis in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, and relaxing at the beach on warm days. Currently, she’s challenging herself to learn golf and deepen her yoga practice.
