Ahmad Khadhair

Physiotherapist

Ahmad is an Interim Physiotherapist who graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and later completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta.

During his undergraduate studies, Ahmad was heavily involved in research, earning a first-author publication on the role of physical activity in preventing and treating coronary artery disease. His extracurricular efforts garnered him the UBC Alumni Association Scholarship, awarded to two individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership in the Greater Vancouver area. Additionally, his academic achievements earned him the UBC Trek Excellence Scholarship, reserved for the top 5% of students in each faculty. Throughout his Physiotherapy degree, Ahmad gained experience working with diverse populations, including geriatric patients, athletes, and individuals pre- or post-orthopedic surgery, as well as those undergoing total hip or knee replacements in a hospital setting.

Ahmad’s approach to rehabilitation is patient-centric, emphasizing collaboration with patients to create a treatment plan that integrates seamlessly into their daily routine and lifestyle. He focuses on making exercises habitual, reducing their perception as a chore. Ahmad combines hands-on manual therapy with exercise to address a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions effectively.

In his leisure time, Ahmad is an avid bodybuilder, dedicating significant time to weightlifting and maintaining a rigorous diet to support his lifestyle. He also has a rich history of playing soccer competitively for 15 years and continues to enjoy the sport recreationally. Fluent in Arabic, Ahmad brings a multilingual dimension to his practice, enabling him to connect with a broader range of patients and enriching the care he provides.
